About Biomass Briquetting Machine

A Biomass Briquetting Machine is a mechanical press that operates using a die and punch system, supported by dual flywheels to ensure smooth and stable functioning. One flywheel is powered by an electric motor via belt drives, while an advanced lubrication system circulates filtered and cooled oil through a pump, enhancing efficiency and extending the machine’s lifespan.

In this machine, raw biomass is continuously supplied through a hopper. A vertical feeder, equipped with its own motor and gearbox, transfers the material into the feeding chamber. The feed rate is precisely regulated by an independently driven screw mechanism connected through a flexible pulley system. Inside the chamber, a ram compresses the material and pushes it through a tapered die, forming compact and dense briquettes.

The Biomass Briquette Machine produces high-density fuel briquettes, commonly referred to as biocoal, without the need for any binding agents. It is capable of processing a wide range of agricultural and forestry waste, such as groundnut shells, bagasse, sawdust, coffee husks, mustard husks, pine needles, and wood residues. For optimal results, the raw material should have a moisture content of 8–12%, and the briquettes are generally produced in sizes ranging from 30 mm to 100 mm.
